The UK is blessed with the best wind resources in Europe, with the north and west of the country providing the best annual mean wind speeds.
For solar systems the south and west have maximum sun strength.
To view maps of renewable energy generation facilities click on the links on the left, of particular interest are the RenewableUK’s (BWEA) Wind Energy Database shows wind farms (but not small wind installations), and the Renewable Energy Association which has an interactive map that covers most technologies.
